Completed in 1989, at a cost of $128.5 million, it was the fulfilment of a dream for many Aucklanders - to have a world-class performing arts centre in the Auckland CBD. The centre was refurbished in 2010 and the ASB Theatre will be refurbished in time for the 2012 Festival.
