Industry veteran Geoff Walker recently stepped down as publishing director of Penguin New Zealand, after several decades of building Penguin’s local publishing list. 

He has published many of New Zealand’s leading writers, including Michael King, Maurice Gee, Lloyd Jones, Witi Ihimaera, Patricia Grace, Ranginui Walker, Vincent O’Sullivan and Anne Salmond. 

He is also a former newspaper, radio and television journalist.

Walker currently works as a consultant, writer and editor.
