
Poet, artist, essayist, curator and art writer Gregory O’Brien is one of New Zealand’s major contributors to both the arts and literature.
His poems and short stories are widely anthologised and he has written several books, most recently A Micronaut in the Wide World (2011) about the art of Graham Percy, and the poetry collection Beauties of the Octagonal Pool (2012).
His works of non-fiction, particularly those directed at young readers, are highly regarded and have received major awards.
