Napier-born Jenny Carlyon completed her BA in History at the Universite de Lyon III in France before moving to Auckland in 1981.
She has a Ph.D in History from the University of Auckland and has worked as an independent historian on a variety of projects. She is the co-author of Urban Village: A History of Ponsonby, Freemans Bay and St Mary’s Bay (2008) and A Fine Prospect: A History of Remuera, Meadowbank and St Johns (2011).
