Jessica Le Bas’ first collection of poetry, Incognito (Auckland University Press, 2007) won the NZSA Jessie Mackay Award for Best First Book of Poetry at the Montana Book Awards in 2008. Her second collection, Walking to Africa (Auckland University Press, 2009) deals with mental illness in adolescence. She lives in Nelson.
