Lachlan Mackay is currently the International Ambassador in New Zealand for the Council for a World Parliament of Religions which promotes, internationally, inter-religious and inter-cultural dialogue, collaboration and peace. He has previously served as a National Vice-President and Officer for Peace and Security with the United Nations Association of New Zealand. Over the past eight years he has had involvement with many non-governmental organisations including Amnesty International New Zealand and the Peace Foundation in various capacities.
