Michele Leggott is an award-winning poet and literary scholar who has published six poetry collections and edited several influential anthologies. A Professor in the Department of English at the University of Auckland, she is also the co-founder with Brian Flaherty of the New Zealand Electronic Poetry Centre (NZEPC). She was the Inaugural New Zealand Poet Laureate (2008-2009) and was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) in 2008 for services to poetry. Mirabile Dictu (AUP 2009) is her most recent poetry book.
