Rives, the “first 2.0 poet”, is a spoken word performance poet and multimedia artist. Originally a pop-up book designer, he now constructs interactive narratives for grown-ups – clever, funny, intellectually alive – using images, video, text and audience input. Rives co-hosted Bravo channel’s “Ironic Iconic America”, a unique and whimsical tour of contemporary American culture. He is a regular at the annual TED Conference, and has appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and on the last four seasons of HBO’s “Def Poetry Jam”. He was the 2004 USA National Poetry Slam Champion.
