Irish writer John Boyne has written novels and short stories for adults alongside work for younger readers including the acclaimed The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and his recent follow-up novel The Boy at the Top of the Mountain. Both books explore issues of history and war with a sensitive and hopeful touch and have earned him a deserved reputation as a master craftsman. John discusses creating fiction to tell important stories from our past.
