The Immortal Way: Jean-Christophe Rufin (2016)

For Jean-Christophe Rufin – Medecins Sans Frontieres doctor, president of Action Against Hunger, former French Ambassador to Senegal, Prix Goncourt winning novelist – walking the medieval Camino de Santiago (the way of Saint James) in northwestern Spain provided him both with respite and a new obsession. In The Santiago Pilgrimage: Walking The Immortal Way, Rufin records his 800-km journey, and contemplates “conscious living” among the hurly-burly. He discusses writing, walking, and much more with Geraint Martin.
