BECKETT UNCUT: LISA DWAN

Internationally acclaimed as the successor to Billie Whitelaw for her brilliant interpretations of the work of Samuel Beckett, Irish actor Lisa Dwan takes the stage to celebrate the Nobel Prize winner. His characters, Dwan says, “are slices of the universe”. In a special performance lecture, Dwan—currently a Distinguished Artist-in-Residence at Columbia University—interweaves stories of Beckett with prose and poetry, including from No’s Knife and Not I, the latter a piece that’s written to be delivered at the speed of thought, and which Dwan performs in a record breaking nine minutes.

Supported by Culture Ireland.

THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT.

Lisa Dwan also appears in Event 07: Festival Gala Night, and Event 56: Stage Women.
