DO NOT SAY WE HAVE NOTHING: MADELEINE THIEN
A moving evocation of the 20th century tragedy of China, Madeleine Thien’s Man Booker Prize shortlisted Do Not Say We Have Nothing explores the impact of Maoist policies and the Cultural Revolution through a group of musicians. Meticulously researched and constructed, the novel has been translated into 25 languages. Thien, who is also the author of the much-praised novel Dogs at the Perimeter speaks with John Sinclair.
