Event 20

Lloyd Jones has said of his deft new fable The Cage that its genesis was the anger he felt in Budapest in 2015 at the indifference of locals to thousands of desperate Syrians refugees. C.K. Stead’s first novel in five years, The Necessary Angel, is set in Paris in 2014 when migrant and terrorist issues were preoccupying, as they still are.
