MAN, SITTING IN A GARDEN
Examining the nature of grief and the redeeming power of love, this Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra production is a freshly minted collaboration, written by Witi Ihimaera and composer Kenneth Young, and performed by internationally renowned New Zealand tenor Simon O’Neill. Inspired by the hyper-real garden paintings of Karl Maughan as a springboard, this 45 minute opera-in-concert journeys through the four seasons. Includes a Q&A with the creative team at the performance’s conclusion.
Presented in partnership with Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra.
