ON SONG: LAWRENCE ARABIA
Lawrence Arabia (aka James Milne), who describes his work as “oldfashioned music about contemporary life” joins Tama Waipara in the Heartland Festival Room for an hour of chat and music. Lawrence, who won an APRA Silver Scroll for his song Apple Pie Bed, has released several solo albums including Lawrence Arabia, Chant Darling and Absolute Truth, collaborated with Connan Mockasin, Bic Runga, Neil Finn and The Phoenix Foundation, written songs for Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement’s film What We Do In The Shadows, and co-created and scored the comedy podcast The Mysterious Secrets Of Uncle Bertie’s Botanarium. In 2018 he will embark on his Lawrence Arabia 2018 Singles Club Project, releasing one single every month.
