Event 49 - CANCELLED

It’s the 50th anniversary of the Katherine Mansfield Fellowship, which has seen the crème of the NZ writing community installed in the Villa Isola Bella in Menton in the South of France where Mansfield once lived. Past fellows and some of NZ’s best musicians gather to respond to Mansfield’s genius. Jenny Bornholdt, Elizabeth Knox, Paula Morris and CK Stead have each selected a piece of Mansfield’s writing, and crafted a reply to read; Lawrence Arabia and Julia Deans join Mansfield album producer and songwriter Charlotte Yates to perform a Mansfield poem they have set to music.

The seven original Mansfield pieces will be posted on our website prior to the event; and the written responses from fellows uploaded post-event.
