STARDUST & SUBSTANCE: JACINDA ARDERN

The results of the 2017 New Zealand election campaign reverberated around the world, changing the course of this country’s politics and ringing in generational change. Political scientist Stephen Levine’s book Stardust & Substance is an examination of legacy, politics and promise, recounting perspectives from key campaign players including now Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern who joins Toby Manhire for an early morning insider’s conversation on these remarkable weeks in our history.

Please note that this event has been rescheduled from Friday 17 May, 8:15am to Sunday 19 May, 8:30am.

All issued tickets will still be valid for the Sunday event.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern will be co-chairing a meeting in Paris on 15 May with French President Emmanuel Macron as they lead global efforts to seek an end to the use of social media to organise and promote terrorism. The meeting aims to bring world leaders and CEOs of tech companies together to agree to a pledge called the ‘Christchurch Call’ to eliminate terrorist and violent extremist content online. The Prime Minister will therefore not be in New Zealand on the original programmed date.
