Rural nurse specialist and midwife Adele Robertson is co-founder of Aotea Health, Great Barrier Island’s primary health care service. She has co-authored the memoir Island Nurses, with Leonie Howie, to share thirty years of islanders’ stories of birth, life and death on the remote island.
