NEW ZEALAND

Celebrated writer and historian Barbara Brookes of Otago University has made a major contribution to scholarship on gender relations in New Zealand. She has written a number of books, co-edited New Zealand history essay collections and her latest book A History of New Zealand Women is shortlisted for the 2017 Ockham New Zealand Book Awards.
