Geoff Norman has a background in science and environmental studies, book design and typesetting. His first book Buller’s Birds of New Zealand: The Complete Work of J. G. Keulemans was the 2012 Herald Book of the Year. His most recent Birdstories: A History of the Birds of New Zealand, is shortlisted for the 2019 Ockham NZ Book Awards.
