Art historian Roger Blackley of Victoria University was formerly a curator at Auckland Art Gallery. His books on historical New Zealand art include The Art of Alfred Sharpe (1992) and Goldie (1997). His latest book is the Ockhams NZ Book Awards longlisted Galleries of Maoriland

Roger Blackley is no longer able to attend the Festival due to ill health and the Maoriland event has been cancelled.
