Musician Shayne Carter is best known for his bands Straitjacket Fits and Dimmer. Long associated with the Dunedin sound, Carter is a member of the NZ Music Hall of Fame. His autobiography Dead People I Have Known has been Ockham NZ Book Awards shortlisted.
