PALESTINE

Palestinian writer and architect Suad Amiry lives in Ramallah and is the founder of the Riwaq Centre for Architectural Conservation. Her humorous book about living under Israeli occupation, Sharon and My Mother in Law (2005), was translated into 18 languages and won the prestigious Viareggio Prize. Her recent book Golda Slept Here won Italy’s Nonnino Prize (2014).
