A Waiata in an Hour: Kings, Rory Noble

Come and witness (and maybe even participate) as brilliant songwriter Kings and producer Rory Noble create, craft and perform an original song, sharing their process with the audience. Blind-drawing a musical genre and phrase, as suggested by audience members, over the next 60 minutes they write the melody, lyrics and structure of the new song – who knows, volunteers might be dragged onstage to form a doo-wop chorus, or to handclap the beats. A unique opportunity for performing taonga to generously open the curtains to a writing process that few audience members will ever have the privilege to see.
