Event 62

Thrillers, true crime books, pathologist tales, podcasts, cable series... it seems our appetite for the criminal and the grisly never ceases. Psychologists posit that evil fascinates because it allows us to explore dark worlds from safe surrounds. Is this true and is it healthy? Forensic pathologist Judy Melinek, co-author with TJ Mitchell of the memoir Working Stiff and the Jessie Teska medical thrillers First Cut and Aftershock, joins journalist and crime reporter Steve Braunias (Missing Persons), in conversation with Mark Sainsbury to discuss what draws them and their readers to such dark subject matter.
