Beresford Square, with Auckland’s emerging train station as a backdrop, is the setting for this year’s stellar line-up of writers set to shake up your evening. Red Bar fires up with readings about bar conversations; stories get steamy inside men’s sauna Centurian; dreams of faraway places are shared in Northern Line Bar; Ockham Collective Resident musicians perform responses to poems read by award finalist authors in SOAP; four senior literati champion emerging talent in conversational couplets at RM Gallery; works inspired by He Atua, He Tangata adorn hoardings near the former A.W. Reed building; win a prize by making found poems from cut-ups at the corner hairdresser; and we open a pop-up bookshop for the evening.
