Writer, playwright and teacher Bernard Beckett has won numerous awards for his YA fiction including the 2010 Prix Sorcières and the NZ Post Book Award for his novels Genesis and Malcolm and Juliet. The Tunnel of Dreams, his first middlegrade novel, has just been published.
