Eric Soakai (they/him) is a Samoan (Poutasi/Falealili) and Tongan (Pangai/Ha'apai) performance artist based out of South Auckland. They are an award winning poet, a New Zealand National Slam Poetry Champion and University of Auckland Slam Champion, with published works in various anthologies and journals including the Indigenous Knowledge Makers Journal and Arts News New Zealand.
