Formerly a doctor, Fiona Sussman is an award winning novelist and short-story writer published internationally. Her work, which spans historical, contemporary and crime fiction, has won a number of awards, including Ngaio Marsh Award for Best Crime Novel, Sunday Star Times Short Story Award and NZ Booklovers Award for Best Adult Fiction. Her thriller, The Doctor’s Wife, was Auckland Council Libraries’ most borrowed book for 2023. Her latest novel, Hooked Up, is the second book in the Bandara Stark series. Fiona is active as a teacher of creative writing and mentor to other writers.
