George Gibbs has a PhD in insect ecology, researches butterflies, moths and wētā and has extensive involvement in NZ’s historical biogeography. His latest book An Exquisite Legacy is a biography of his grandfather, George Hudson, and has been shortlisted for the Ockham NZ Book Awards.
