Laura Vincent (Ngāti Māhanga, Ngāpuhi) is an author from Waiuku, based in Tāmaki Makaurau. She has written the food blog hungryandfrozen.com since 2007, and her debut cookbook was published by Penguin Random House in 2013. Laura’s poetry has been published locally and internationally, and has appeared in anthologies published by Āporo Press, Auckland University Press and Muswell Press. Her debut novel Hoods Landing was published on 31 October 2025 through Āporo Press, and was longlisted for the 2026 Ockham New Zealand Book Awards Jan Medlicott Acorn Prize for Fiction.
