Lorraine Smith

Lorraine Smith has practised as a Criminal Lawyer for the past 45 years.

She has been involved in a number of high profile trials including the Kahui twins murder trial and the man who smashed the America’s Cup inside the Royal N.Z. Yacht Squadron.

She has also argued the rights of the unborn child through the New Zealand Courts.

Lorraine also represented the family at the Commission of Enquiry into practices at Oakley Hospital resulting in 71 recommendations relating to the care of mentally unwell people.
