Monique Roffey is a Trinidadian-born British writer and the author of six novels and a memoir. Her novel Archipelago won the OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature. The Mermaid of Black Conch won the 2020 Costa Novel Award and overall Costa Book of the Year Award.
