Te Kapua O’Connor (Ngāti Kurī, Pohūtiare) is a doctoral student at WaipapaTaumata Rau/the University of Auckland. He and Professor Melinda Webber are co-authors of A Fire InThe Belly Of Hineāmaru: A Collection Of Narratives About Te Tai Tokerau Tūpuna, which has been shortlisted for the 2023 Ockham NZ Book Awards.
