To'asavili Tuputala

Logoitumua To'asavili Tuputala is an Aotearoa born Samoan storyteller, writer, poet and educator from the villages of Safua, Lalomalava in Savaii and Magiagi, Moata'a, Poutasi, Sapunaoa in Upolu. Her work in the arts allows her to teach passionately using writing as a bridge from the past to the present and future with a strong connection to her Pacific Aiga and values. Tuputala has written transformative poetry from the page to the stage with written work featured in productions such as Fonua - a production about the rising sea levels and climate change, and written for the Southside Rise series - Revolution by The Black Friars, and “4 Tha Lumana’i” - Samoan Oratory and hiphop. Tuputala was awarded the Samoa House Library research residency in 2022 - Auckland, Aotearoa and The Fafagu Measina Spoken word residency in 2024 - Upolu, Samoa.
