Cry, JAAM, and Turbine and she is co-editor of the online journal Sweet Mammalian, alongside Hannah Mettner and Sugar Magnolia Wilson, and the author of collection Some of us eat the seeds.
FERGUS BARROWMAN NEW ZEALAND
Fergus Barrowman is a publisher, editor and the founder of literary magazine SPORT. He is also an avid music fan with broad tastes, and reviews jazz CDs for RNZ National’s RNZ Nights with Bryan Crump. @FergusVUP
AIRINI BEAUTRAIS NEW ZEALAND
Poet Airini Beautrais studied ecological science and creative writing and has published poetry collections including Secret Heart, Western Line, Dear Neil Roberts and her latest, the Ockham NZ Book Awards longlisted Flow, inspired by the Whanganui River.
MICHAEL BELGRAVE NEW ZEALAND
Historian Michael Belgrave works on Treaty of Waitangi research and settlements. He has published widely on treaty and Ma-ori history and most recently published the 2018 Ockham NZ Book Awards shortlisted Dancing with the King: The Rise and Fall of the King Country 1864-1885.
LEONARD BELL NEW ZEALAND
Internationally published author and scholar Leonard Bell was longlisted for the 2018 Ockham NZ Book Awards for Strangers Arrive: Emigres and the Arts in New Zealand, 1930-1980. His other books include Marti Friedlander and Jewish Lives in New Zealand: a history.
CAROLE BEU NEW ZEALAND
Carole Beu is owner of The Women’s Bookshop in Ponsonby, a regular book reviewer and event chair, and the presenter of the annual Ladies’ Litera- Tea. She was a founding trustee of the Auckland Writers Festival.
TONY BEYER NEW ZEALAND
Tony Beyer has published 15 collections of poems since 1971, and received the United States Tanka Splendor Award twice as well as Australia’s Jack Stamm Award. His latest collection Anchor Stone has been shortlisted for the 2018 Ockham NZ Book Awards.
GAVIN BISHOP NEW ZEALAND
Since publishing his  rst picture book, Mrs McGinty and the Bizarre Plant, Gavin Bishop ONZM-(Nga- ti Mahuta (Tainui) and Ngati Pukeko, Nga- ti Awa) has won numerous national and international awards for his work. His new book, Aotearoa: The New Zealand Story, is a visual history of New Zealand.
THE BLACK FRIARS THEATRE COMPANY NEW ZEALAND
South Auckland based theatre troupe The Black Friars give classic fairy tales a Pasi ka twist and have performed in the NZ International Comedy Festival, Auckland Fringe Festival, and in churches and schools around the Paci c.
