Ha Jin is the pen name of Chinese-American poet and novelist, Jin Xuefei 金雪飞. Winner of the National Book Award for his novel Waiting, and twice winner of the PEN/Faulkner prize, his latest novel The Boat Rocker explores issues of exile, migration and patriotism.
