AUT, Ella Henry has a background in Sociology, Management and Ma-ori Development, and a PhD focused on Ma-ori entrepreneurship in the screen sector. She has served as a past Chair of Nga- Aho Whakaari and is a 2018 Ockham NZ Book Awards judge.

Julie Hill is a journalist, playwright, short story writer and documentary maker and the author of story collection ShameJoy. As the recipient of the D’Arcy writers’ residency, she wrote an essay about the history
of Karangahape Road that was published in North & South magazine.

Alaskan born and raised, Bonnie- Sue Hitchcock was a public radio reporter for many years and raised her children on a  shing boat.
