SPARK HUNTER: SONYA WILSON (2022)

Debut novelist Sonya Wilson’s epic adventure, 'Spark Hunter', is set within a million hectares of bush-clad land in the forests of Fiordland National Park. Praised for beautifully capturing the taonga of Pātea Doubtful Sound and Tamatea Dusky Sound, where the mysteries of flora and fauna collide, the survivalist story follows young hunter, Nissa, as she tries to track down the source of mysterious lights spotted in the dangerous wonderland. Sonya is a broadcast journalist and has worked on a number of TVNZ news and current affairs programmes. A self-confessed ‘nature nerd’, she will reveal how her own childhood adventures in the remarkable landscape of the south inspired this book.
