Become a Patron: Champion Books and Ideas
The support of our Patrons helps us invite world-leading writers and thinkers, discover and platform new voices and ensures Auckland Writers Festival Waituhi o Tāmaki remains an unmissable highlight in Aotearoa New Zealand’s annual arts calendar. It’s easy to join. Select what level of support you would like – Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze. At each level, we ask you to donate a certain amount and we offer you a set of benefits. To join now, click on the payment link beneath your chosen patron level. If you decide to Go Bold, this means you are doubling your support at each level.

Online banking: Contact us (phone 09 376 8074 in business hours, or email info@writersfestival.co.nz) to let us know your chosen level of support. Then direct credit our bank account number: 38-9011-0321070-00; bank account name: Auckland Writers and Readers Festival Charitable Trust. There are no processing fees for this option. Payment is typically made annually in one instalment on 1 November, but we can provide a quarterly schedule if you would like to pay quarterly.
Credit card: Call us in business hours (09 376 8074) with your credit card to hand. Let us know your chosen level of support and we will initiate either a lump sum payment or a quarterly payment arrangement.
General Donations

As a registered charity, AWF is able to issue a donation receipt for donation tax credit purposes when a supporter makes a charitable or other public benefit gift of $5 or more. Each level of the AWF Patrons programme is in two parts – the benefits package (described above) and a recommended gift or donation for the relevant patron level. Please get in touch if you would like to know more detail about these two amounts. When a supporter makes a Patrons programme payment we will issue a donation receipt for the relevant donation component. We will also issue a donation receipt for any additional charitable gift of $5 or more made to AWF, outside the Patrons programme.
