Caitlin Jenkins is a poet of Tongan (Village Fatai), Niuean (Village Toi) and NZ European descent. Now at Cut Above Academy, she won the 2021 IIML National Schools Poetry Award while at Papatoetoe High School for South, which celebrates the rich cultural histories of South Auckland.
