Dr Hinemoa Elder MNZM (Ngāti Kurī, TeAupōuri, Te Rarawa, Ngāpuhi) is a child and adolescent psychiatrist and deputy psychiatry member of the New Zealand Mental Health Review Tribunal. She is the author of New Zealand's best-selling local non-fiction book of 2021, Aroha. Hinemoa’s latest book Wawata, also a bestseller,is about forming deeper connections using the energies of Hina, the Māori moon.
