Veteran feminist Vivian Gornick is an American critic, journalist, essayist, and memoirist. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Nation, The Atlantic Monthly, and many other publications. She has published eleven books including two classic memoirs: Fierce Attachments (1987) and The Odd Woman and the City (2015).
