Cassie Hart is a Māori (Kāi Tahu, Kāti Māhaki ki Makaawhio)/Pākehā hybrid author of speculative fiction from Taranaki. Her award-winning horror novel, Butcherbird, was released by Huia in 2021. She writes under a number of pennames, primarily as Nova Blake at the moment.
