ZANZIBAR/BRITAIN

The winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2021, Abdulrazak Gurnah is the author of ten novels, including Booker-nominated Paradise and By the Sea. Born in Zanzibar, he is Professor Emeritus of English and Postcolonial Literatures at the University of Kent.
