For the past eight years, Adam Dudding has been making award-winning podcasts for platforms including Stuff, RNZ and NZME. Standouts include 2018’s hit crime podcast Gone Fishing (which in 2024 led to a Court of Appeal ruling that there had been multiple miscarriages of justice) and The Commune (2022) – a deep dive into the historic crimes and modern-day legacy of Auckland’s notorious Centrepoint commune.

As a journalist for Stuff, Adam won numerous feature-writing awards, including Senior Newspaper Feature Writer of the Year in 2013. His 2017 memoir My Father’s Island won Best First Book at the Ockham NZ Book Awards. He is now co-director of the independent podcast company Te Pūrongo Productions, and lives in Tāmaki Makaurau.
