Maggie Tweedie

Maggie Tweedie

Maggie Tweedie is a radio host, journalist, and passionate reader from Lake Tutira. With a decade of experience in alternative and community radio in Poneke (Wellington) and Naarm (Melbourne), she co-founded the Wellington Poetry Collective, blending her love for literature with the power of spoken word. In 2018, Maggie became the first solo female Breakfast Host at Radioactive.FM, where she stayed for six years. Her storytelling extends beyond the radio—writing for New Zealand publications like North & South and The Spinoff, and MCing events. Now a presenter for Aotearoa's Public Broadcaster- Radio New Zealand, Maggie broadcasts from Tamaki Makaurau, a city she once reluctantly moved to but now finds herself singing the praises of.
