Sonya Wilson is an award-winning author, writer and journalist and is the founder and chief executive of the nationwide children’s book charity, Kiwi Christmas Books. Her first novel for children, Spark Hunter, won Best First Book at the NZCYA awards and has been optioned for screen adaptation. Her second book, The Secret Green, will be published in July by Allen & Unwin. She worked as a television news and current affairs report and presenter at TVNZ for many years and has written for has written for North and South, The Spin Off, Newsroom and others.
