Tui Emma Gillies is a Kiwi-Tongan artist who specialises in tapa art. Tui works alongside her mother Sulieti Fieme’a Burrows, to create work that has been presented, exhibited and sold to museums and collections, including The Royal Academy of Art in London. The duo were the recipients of the 2018 Creative New Zealand Heritage Arts Award and in 2021 Tui presented a TEDx talk on the Tongan Kupesi.
